The issue has also reached the Supreme Court, where a petition has challenged the use of pellet guns for crowd control. On the other hand, this account, named @DNJP_India, currently follows more than 15 accounts, including Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav, AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, YouTuber Dhruv Rathee, comedian Kunal Kamra, actor Prakash Raj, and many other popular names on social media.This account emerged on social media after Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Independence Day speech on August 15th. In that speech, he referred to the elimination of armed Naxalites and urged the nation to be vigilant against “mindful Naxalites” lurking in ambushes. In his speech, PM Modi targeted those with Naxalite ideologies who seek to spread unrest despite the weakening of armed Naxalism. Although PM Modi did not name any specific group during his speech, his comment sparked a significant political controversy. Opposition leaders retaliated. Some leaders, including Congress leader P. Chidambaram, said they were proud to be called “mindful Naxalites.” In his Independence Day speech, PM Modi said, “Even though the Naxalites who took up arms in the jungles have been eliminated, the mindless Naxalites are still looking for opportunities. They are seeking ways to resort to violence and trying to lead the country down the wrong path. Such people must be identified and isolated.” Following his speech, the “Dimagi Naxal Party” has come into the spotlight. Several accounts with this name are visible on Instagram. Pages created by the “Dimaggi Naxal Party” on various social media sites are rapidly gaining popularity. Within a day of its launch, it gained more than 50,000 followers. Currently, its Instagram page has more than 150,000 followers. The party’s slogan is “Think, Research, Protest.”

The FIR reportedly lists her as 25 years old, but in the apology clip, she claims she’s only 15. She apologizes, saying she never intended to create such a controversy. Responding to this, Prime Minister Modi stated that not only was he targeted, but his deceased mother was also treated very badly. Reflecting on the strong public reaction, Prime Minister Modi attributed this to childhood mistakes, noting that childhood offers the opportunity to correct those mistakes. Seeing the anger and resentment in society, he understood how deeply shocked people were by this student’s use of abusive language. He stated that the need of the hour is to embrace them and show them the right path. It is our duty to guide them; punishing them, dragging them to court, or harassing them in society will not change the situation. DU School of Open Learning to launch 1yr PG programme to develop technical and analytical skills along with core subject
Delhi University students are reportedly excited to receive one-year postgraduate courses in open and distance learning mode for students who have completed a four-year master’s program. This program will be implemented from the 2026-27 academic year. Initially, admissions will be available only in Commerce, Political Science, History, Hindi, and Sanskrit. The university administration stated that this initiative provides students with the opportunity to pursue higher education without any academic gap. Professor Payal Mango, Director of the School of Open Learning, stated that the one-year master’s programs are currently being offered in five-year master’s programs, and only those students who have completed a four-year master’s program and meet the university’s prescribed eligibility criteria will be eligible for admission. The online registration process for these courses will begin soon, and detailed admission information and schedules will be released separately. He also stated that this program will not impact existing two-year postgraduate programs. Both master’s courses will be offered concurrently, and the one-year course has been introduced as an additional option for graduate students. The university administration states that due to limited seats in regular colleges, a large number of students are unable to enroll each year. Therefore, this program, launched through the open and distance learning mode, could prove to be a better option for students who wish to continue their studies. According to the School of Open Learning, this initiative will benefit students from both regular and open and distance learning programs, allowing eligible students to complete their master’s degree without any academic breaks. In addition to the one-year postgraduate program, the School of Open Learning has introduced Data Analytics as a minor elective at the undergraduate level as of 2020. This subject will be offered to BA, BMC, BA Economics, and BCom students. The aim is to provide students with the opportunity to develop new technical and analytical capabilities alongside their core subject.

Protests by youth at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar regarding the NEET paper leak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of a fast-track court to ensure transparency and security of the exam. Following this, the CBI has filed a charge sheet against 13 accused in the NEET paper leak case in Delhi’s Rahul Avenue Court. Fast-track Court Judge Anu Grover Baliga will hear the charge sheet today, Wednesday, July 29th. Those named as accused in the CBI investigation include Yash Yadav, Mangilal Bival, Dinesh Bival, Vikas Bival, Shubham Khairnar, Dhananjay Lokhande, Prahlad Kulkarni, Tejas Harshad Kumar, Dr. Manoj Shirure, Shivraj Raghunath Motegaonkar, Manisha Bagmare, Manisha Mandhare, and Manisha Sanjay Havaldar. All of these accused are currently in judicial custody. The CBI registered an FIR against the accused under sections 315 (5), 318 (4), 61 (2), 238, and 303 (2) of the Indian Penal Code, sections 13 (2) and 13 (1) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, and sections 10, 3, 4, 5, and 11 of the Public Examinations Act. The hearing in the NEET paper leak case was postponed on the very first day of the trial in the Fast Track Court, July 27th. Following this, Delhi High Court Chief Justice DK Vice-Chairman ordered the formation of a Fast Track Court and appointed Anu Grover Baliga as its judge. The Fast Track Court was established to hear cases related to crimes committed during public examinations. It will hear cases similar to those under the Core Public Examinations Act.
Kanwar Yatra 2026: Railways Enhances Connectivity with 6 Special Trains for Devotees
In view of the Kanwar Yatra commencing on July 30, the Uttarakhand government is offering a significant facility to the Kanwariyas; six special trains will be operated for them starting July 30, and the routes of four existing trains have been extended. The Railway Department has announced the operation of six special trains for Shiva devotees traveling to Haridwar to fetch holy water from the Ganges during the month of Shravan; additionally, the routes of four trains have been extended. These trains will run between Delhi and Haridwar stations from July 30 to August 14. Furthermore, 4,410 LED lights will be installed along the Kanwar Yatra route. Providing details about the special trains, Senior DCM Mahesh Yadav stated that the operation of the Delhi-Shamli-Delhi DMU train (Train Nos. 74022 and 74023) has been extended to Haridwar station; both trains will run daily from Delhi station (July 30 to August 13) and from Haridwar station (July 31 to August 14). The operation of the Delhi-Saharanpur-Delhi MEMU train has also been extended to Haridwar station; these trains will also run daily from Delhi (July 30 to August 13) and Haridwar station (July 31 to August 14). Meanwhile, the Haridwar-Delhi-Shahdara-Haridwar unreserved ‘Mela Special’ train will operate from July 30 to August 13. Other trains passing through Haridwar, such as Train Nos. 04315 and 04316 (Yog Nagari Rishikesh-Delhi-Shahdara-Rishikesh), will also be operated. To ensure a smooth, safe, and seamless journey for Kanwar pilgrims, the administration has released ₹6.30 crore to finalize preparations. To prevent any inconvenience to devotees during the night, 6,265 LED lights will be installed on the main routes of the Haridwar and Roorkee divisions at a cost of ₹120.60 lakh; specifically, 1,855 LED lights will be installed in the Haridwar division and 4,410 in the Roorkee division.

He said admitting mistakes is not a sign of weakness but a sign of maturity, accountability, and a willingness to reform the system. Dipke said that the protest is demanding accountability for the repeated irregularities in the examination system and justice for the students. Former Law and Industry Minister P. Rajeev reached Jantar Mantar Furthermore, former Kerala Health Minister K.K. Shailaja, former Finance Minister and current MLA K.N. Bala Gopal, and former Law and Industry Minister P. Rajeev reached Jantar Mantar, where all three leaders met with students and expressed concern over paper leaks and the persistent irregularities in the examination system. The leaders stated that ensuring fair, transparent, and trustworthy examination systems is essential to secure the future of the country’s youth.
