Education Department Initiates Strict Action Against Unregistered Private Schools Under RTE Act..
Recently, the Education Department announced strict action against private schools operating without recognition and registration. It is reported that the department has identified such schools and initiated action against them. Notices have been issued to the operators of seven schools in the Sanjay Nagar, Kheda, and Transit Camp areas of Rudrapur. Notice issued from Education Officer’s office The notice issued by the Deputy Education Officer’s office clearly states that operating the schools without recognition violates the provisions of the Right to Education Act, 2009. Citing Section 18 (1) of the Act, the notice states that no private school can operate without obtaining recognition from a competent authority. The notice directs school operators to close their schools with immediate effect. Failure to comply will result in a FIR being filed against the operators and strict action will be taken. Instructions for closing schools Chief Education Officer Harendra Kumar Mishra stated that the notices were issued to seven schools after investigating repeated complaints of unrecognized schools operating in the district. Also, all school operators have been asked to present their side within the stipulated time.It is believed that in the coming days, special investigation campaigns will be conducted in other areas of the district as well and strict action will be taken against all the schools violating the rules.
